Hort Innovation–Western Sydney University glasshouse trials at the university’s National Vegetable Protected Cropping Centre using native stingless bee species tetragonula carbonaria suggest that the comparatively benign Australian species could make safe, efficient pollinators for protected-cropping environments, resulting in good yields of strawberries with high taste profiles.
