In a major industry-research collaboration co-funded by the FFS, scientists at Western Sydney University will work with urban-farm outfit Vertical Patch, Episteme Solutions and NSW DPI to explore novel solutions for monitoring glasshouse-grown crops in near-real-time, laying the foundation for a decision support system enabling seamless automated production. The inaugural FFS Summit in Brisbane was such a success that we’ve scheduled a second one, this time in Western Australia. ‘For Food’s Sake – It’s our future’ Summit will include a gala dinner on Wednesday 21, conference sessions on Thursday 22 and a number of optional tours, including a visit to the new Food Innovation Precinct Western Australia, on Friday 23. After an $8m government project mapping residential movements nationally, FFS ‘Namoi agribusiness’ project lead and UNSW Professor Hoon Han has used AI to ascertain land and floorspace use, residential property valuation and resource allocation. FFS CEO to address CERS Networking Night
