Costa collaborates to optimise carbon inputs, boost yields
In a just-signed FFS project, major Australian fruit and vegetable producer Costa Group will collaborate with scientists from University of New England, the Australian National University and NSW Department of Primary Industries to help it reduce carbon use and increase yields in its Guyra tomato glasshouses. UNSW doctoral student and FFS top-up PhD scholar Kesewa Agyemang is working with UNSW’s Dr Elnaz Irannezhad to model Australian agrifood freight and develop a data-backed tool that maximises food safety and minimises loss along the supply chain. Read more
