Merran has extensive experience working in print, digital and broadcast media on three continents, including for Fairfax Media, News Limited and Beyond International in Australia, Conde Nast and Random House NYC, and Time Out London. She joined NSW Farmers in 2014 and as principal content and editorial manager for AgInnovators, was instrumental in developing and growing a national and global audience for the organisation’s flagship R&D innovation site. A regular columnist for and contributor to agriculture-focused publications including NAB’s agribusiness quarterly Produce, Merran also has a long-standing interest in promoting health and nutrition that has included working on major public-facing campaigns with the Australian Government Department of Health, the SIDS Foundation and VicHealth. She is a passionate advocate of sustainability and a committed opponent of food waste.
