Gehan Abdelghany is a PhD student in the field of agronomy in the College of Engineering, IT, and Environment at CDU. She has awarded a Research Training Program (RTP) PhD Scholarship, commencing her PhD on 31 March 2020 and expected end day will be on 29 September 2024. She was Assistant Lecturer, Botany Department, Faculty of Science, Tanta University, Egypt. She has a Bachelor of Botany (Egypt), and a Master of Plant Ecology (Egypt). She was involved in teaching-related activities for undergraduate students. Her Masters investigated nutrient cycling and phytoremediation efficiency of a wild giant shrub Pluchea dioscoridis in the Nile Delta, Egypt. Her major research interests are plant population ecology, phytoremediation, plant responses to stresses, and agronomy.
