This proposal aims to help the industry partner automate the laborious task of pollination within protected cropping greenhouses by developing a prototype of an autonomous robotic platform that can integrate with the industry partner’s proprietary pollination system. The project will create and demonstrate navigation algorithms that enable the robotic platform to perform crop row enter and exit behaviours. The project will also design an end-effector for integrating the industry partner pollination apparatus. The project will conclude with a final report presenting the design details and field trial results and including future research and development recommendations.
