Professor Greg Leslie is the Director of the Global Water Institute at UNSW Sydney and of the UNESCO Centre for Membrane Science and Technology. His research focuses on water and nutrient recycling, and on the performance of polymeric and ceramic membranes in desalination, water recycling, biofuels, abattoirs and more. He’s worked for public and private-sector water treatment, reuse and desalination projects across Australia and the world, including as lead process engineer on the NEWater recycling project for Singapore Public Utilities Board, and as a key advisor to Orange County Water District and its groundwater water-replenishment system in California. Prof. Leslie served on the World Health Organization Technical Committee that developed global guidelines for desalination, and on the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council Water Issue Committee. He is a member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) and a Fellow of the Institute for the Advancement of Engineering. Read more about Prof. Leslie here.
