Sydney-based LLEAF Pty Ltd is focused on boosting natural sunlight’ in protected cropping facilities, thereby improving yield. The company’s award-winning technology is a luminescent light-emitting agricultural film known as LLEAF that can be retrofitted to existing greenhouse glass. Developed in a R&D laboratory at UNSW, LLEAF has been trialled in four crops on three continents, showing promising increases in yield. The goal is to enable year-round indoor production of even non-native crops, maximising yields and thus, grower profits.
