WSU Agri-Tech Hub Vision Launch

Thu 7 October, 12.30-1.30pm AEDT

This hour-long webinar will launch the vision for Western Sydney University’s new Agri-Tech Hub.

The heart of the Hub is a planned six-hectare, state-of-the-art commercial greenhouse facility that will serve as a co-location space for industry and research.

At the vision launch, Western Sydney University Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Barney Glover AO will be joined by industry experts and researchers to discuss the Hub’s important role in job creation, and how it will drive technology uptake in a critical sector of the economy – nationally and across the Western Sydney region.

The launch will outline how the Hub will harness existing teaching and research strengths within WSU’s Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment and School of Science, promoting close collaboration and skill-sharing with school students through its Centre of Excellence in Agriculture.

This is a must-attend event for policymakers, industry experts and agribusinesses interested in industry-research collaboration, and in forging links with researchers looking to help Australia’s commercial cropping industry capitalise on global supply-chain opportunities expected to flow from the curfew-free international airport soon to be built in Western Sydney.
