NICM, seed-funded by the federal and NSW governments, is recognised globally for its integrative and complementary medicine research. It conducts clinical trials, lab testing and policy work that advances knowledge and understanding of natural and traditional medicine and promotes evidence-based integrative healthcare. The institute has the expertise, laboratories and equipment needed to conduct clinical trials of ingredients proposed for use in supplements and nutriceuticals.
