Working with CRC partner Sprout Stack, UNSW researchers are developing and comparing production system alternatives with the aim of increasing production capacity, reducing costs and shrinking the company’s environmental footprint. The project brings advanced manufacturing analytical methodologies and thinking to the indoor cropping sector. Its whole-of-system approach involves comparing design layouts, operational procedures and equipment selection with reference to financial and sustainability parameters.
